“A Moment in Time When I Was Able to Just Listen to the Forest”

I love escaping into the tall forests around Pemberton. There’s something about that feeling of being surrounded by centuries-old karri trees, breathing in that familiar eucalyptus scent. My mind becomes clear whilst filling with a sense of adventure all at once.

My other passion aside from disconnecting and exploring beautiful Western Australia is photography. In fact the two go hand in hand, my camera barely leaves my side when I travel.

Somehow, for me, it brings new significance and opens my eyes to see unexpected details. This photo was a moment in time when I was able to just listen to the forest, breathe in the nourishing air and clear my head.

Climbing above the ground gives a different perspective and for me allows for a moment to pause and contemplate the beauty of the forest. There’s always something new to discover.
