“It Was so Peaceful; We Virtually Had the Whole Beach toOurselves”
This shot was taken at Leighton Beach in North Fremantle after a day of exploring Fremantle. Taken on the third day of spring, I remember it being one of the clearest days in Perth since before winter. My partner and I decided to relax and enjoy the sunset together. It was so peaceful; we virtually had the whole beach to ourselves.
I love this picture because I think it captures a quintessential part of the West Australian lifestyle. Sitting together watching the sunset over the ocean is an experience we’re lucky enough to enjoy over and over again. Looking back on this moment makes me feel excited for the warmer weather to come; I can’t wait to enjoy many more beach sunsets with both my partner and friends.
